When Latin Louisville co-owners, Mindy Scott and Chelsey Owen, had a unique idea to organize a salsa-dancing event on the Belle of Louisville, they contacted me to design an eye-catching poster to promote it. I wanted to showcase the historic Belle of Louisville riverboat, but the project budget didn't allow for expensive stock photography. So, I found a decent open-source shot of the boat, and did some photo-editing magic to layer in richly toned photos of waves and sky.
